Our opening event of the Spring Season features Norman J. Warren in conversation with BFI fiction curator Jo Botting. Well known among aficionados of 1970s horror for films such as Satan’s Slave, Terror and Inseminoid, he has been behind the camera since his amateur experiments at the local cine club in the late 1950s. His break into professional direction came in 1967 with Her Her Private Hell Blu-ray/DVD coverPrivate Hell, the first narrative sex film to be made in the UK, which ran in London for over a year. To launch the first Blu-ray/DVD release of Her Private Hell, Norman will be looking back at the production of this film, and discussing the rest of his film career.

Copies of the DVD will be available at a discounted price.

Doors open at 18.30 for a 19.30 start, and the event is expected to end at 22.30. Refreshments will be available.
