When Marie Allen (Eleanor Parker) is sent to a women’s prison after a botched armed robbery during which her husband gets killed, she must face the harsh consequences and be confronted with a new reality.
In order to research for the novel and screenplay, screenwriter Virginia Kellogg went to prison under a false conviction and ended up with an Oscar nomination.
Screenplay By is hosted by screenwriter, playwright and film blogger Carol Saint Martin and it focuses on the screenwriters and storytellers behind some of the greatest films ever made and their stories.
