The Museum of Brands in Notting Hill has recently launched a programme for people living with dementia.
Their experienced guides bring the museum displays to life with the help of products, sounds, and scents from the past. Sessions are open for everyone, but specially designed for people with dementia.
For groups, they are happy to organise a session in their fully accessible Museum. Alternatively, their outreach team is available to lead reminiscing sessions for care homes and community groups in London. For people living independently with dementia, they organise creative reminiscing sessions on Tuesday mornings 9.30-10.30. These sessions take place in the Museum before it opens to the public. Afterwards, participants are invited to stay and enjoy their cafe and garden. A person with dementia must be accompanied by a carer.
