Following a request from staff at the ICA, the Museum provided artist Jennifer West with four 35mm rewinders plus board. These were used as part of her art work evening at the St Mary le Strand church, which was part of the ICA Art Night programme, that took place on the night of July 2nd.
This art work included a participatory element, where members of the public were invited to write and draw their own memories onto 70mm filmstrips – which West later digitised to high-definition to create an animated film featuring the hand-drawn words, drawings and patterns.
More about the event on the ICA website, and more about the artist on her website. Below are some pictures taken during the evening.
