Tue 1 Dec 2015 @ 19:00 · News

PiccadillyThe London Transport Museum invites you to join them for a special screening of Piccadilly (1929), a stylish evocation of Jazz Age London, transporting viewers from the opulent West End nightclubs to the then seedy Limehouse area of London.

One of the true greats of British silent film, this gem was a precursor to the film noir genre and has been beautifully restored by the BFI National Film & Television Archive. Directed by E.A. Dupont, Piccadilly stars the screen goddess Anna May Wong as Shosho, a scullery maid in a fashionable London nightclub who rises to become the toast of London.

The film will be accompanied by a live musical performance on the piano from Stephen Horne, one of the UK’s leading silent film accompanists.

Film starts 19.00 – 21.00 (doors open 18.30)
