“A comic Genius” (Leslie Halliwell)
Join us for a celebration of the life and films of Arthur Lucan, also marking the centenary of his stormy marriage to Kitty McShane, his ‘darling daughter!’
There will be talks, discussions, exhibitions and film screenings. Speakers include Dr Anthony Slide, Professor Jeffrey Richards, Professor Steven Fielding and Dr Robert Kenny, author of a new and revealing full-length study, The Man who was Old Mother Riley, which will be available at the event.
“Surely, Arthur was the greatest of them all.” (Charlie Chester)
