To celebrate the unique cinema talent that was David Lynch, The Nickel is proud to present a screening of Lynch’s breakthrough work.
Eraserhead soon rose from being a film that was little seen to a cult classic, as people grew to appreciate Lynch’s surreal body-horror fantasy, with its disturbing images and unique sound design. Henry Spenser is persuaded to marry his girlfriend, who has recently had a baby. She moves into his flat, but the baby’s constant crying drives her mad, leaving Henry to care for the infant…
“Eraserhead is a singular work of the imagination, a harrowing, heartbreaking plunge into the darkest recesses of the soul” (Time Out).
Doors open at 18.30, for a 19.30 start.
Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
