Les roseaux sauvagesThis was André Téchiné’s breakthrough film that came from relative obscurity to become Cahiers du Cinema‘s film of the year and winning multiple Césars including best film. Set in 1962 as France comes to grips with the war in Algeria it is tender, touching and political as it follows a group of young people as they consider their futures learning so much about themselves and each other.

This is screening from a Cinema Museum 35mm print, for the authentic cinema experience.

Each film is accompanied by an introductory illustrated talk by Jon Davies, Tutor in French Cinema at Morley College.

Doors open at 13.00, for a 14.00 start.

Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
