The UK Buster Keaton Society. Quarterly meeting of the society dedicated to the appreciation of the silent comedian.
After a selection of Keaton shorts and a break, the second half will be a screening of Seven Chances (1925), which is based on a play produced in 1916. Buster plays Jimmy Shannon, who is on the brink of bankrupcy when he is told that his grandfather’s will leaving him seven million dollars. In order to inherit the money, Jimmy must marry before 7 pm on his 27th birthday – which is today!
The meeting runs from 4pm to 7pm.
