The museum was saddened to hear of the death of Sir Gerald Kaufman MP, one of our longest serving Patrons.

As well as a distinguished career in politics, Sir Gerald was a life-long lover of the cinema, especially film musicals. He wrote the BFI Film Classics guide to Meet Me in St. Louis in 1994, and a memoir My Life in the Silver Screen in 1985.
