A new season of French cinema – this time looking at a different type of comedy each month.
This month it’s the comic cinema of François Truffaut, with a screening of Une Belle Fille Comme Moi (Such a Gorgeous Kid Like Me) (1972).
A young sociologist is preparing a thesis on criminal women. He meets Camille Bliss (Bernadette Lafont) in prison to interview her. Camille is accused of having murdered her lover and her father. She tells him about her life and her love affairs. He soon falls in love with Camille and works to find the evidence to prove her innocent.
A themed talk from Jon Davies will precede the screening.
Doors open at 13.30, for a 14.30 start.
Refreshments will be available in our licensed cafe/bar.
