Some time ago we were given a professional 16mm projector by the Royal College of Surgeons. Probably through being unused for some time, one of its functions was unreliable.

Our technical wizard Dave Locke (centre), his friend Alan Lavender (right) and Alan’s son Charlie (left) are seen here sorting out the gremlins! Alan has fitted a new motor which will run at different speeds, and will allow the projector to run at various speeds-of-choice for silent films.
