Written and directed by Erich von Stroheim, this early silent version of The Merry Widow based on the ever popular operetta by Franz Lehar still retains its power to charm and amuse.

A prince must woo the now wealthy dancer he once abandoned in order to save his country’s economy. Mae Murray and John Gilbert star.

Donald MacKenzie, the organist from the Odeon Leicester Square, presents the film and plays the piano accompaniment.

Doors open at 18.30 for a 19.30 start.

Refreshments will be available in our licenced cafe/bar.
