Film historians Tony Fletcher and Alex Gleason select a dazzling array of rarely seen films, an eclectic mix from creative filmmakers from the 1920s to the 1950s, mainly chosen from the collection held at the Cinema Museum.
The programme will include Vitaphones, R.K.O. shorts, animation, a one-reel version of the 1932 film The Lodger, some early British Phototones, Ronald Reagan introducing a postwar film season, a Widgey Newman and a film by Mervyn Peake – bring your Marmite sandwiches!
